Last week, our leaders came together for our second workshop with Kelly Hannaghan, exploring the importance of creating a culture of Psychological Safety.
There was plenty to reflect on:
🔹 Be curious — ask questions, listen and create space for people to grow.
🔹 Speak up early — feeling confident to admit mistakes and raise concerns allows teams to solve problems together before they become bigger issues.
🔹 Be the leader you wanted to have — observe, listen and recognise that sometimes behaviour says what words don’t.
🔹 Connection matters — whether working from home, on site or away from home, connection plays a huge role in wellbeing, motivation and teamwork.
One message came through strongly: an effective culture isn’t created by one person. It’s created by the people within it — and everyone matters.
As Richard Shroll reflected, “Developing our people, leaders and culture will be a key part of SEC’s journey.”
We’re proud to continue putting Team SEC at the heart of everything we do.
So, a question to leave you with:
What are your top three values — for your team and your company?
