Project overview

The existing building is in what was the original and iconic ‘Bovril’ factory site on Old Street, Shoreditch and being ideally placed for access to the City of London.

The strip out and demolition back to existing structural frame and remodelling of the internal space and external facades.  The creation of new open plan commercial office space over 11nr levels from Lower Ground to 8th floor, including new raised access floors, central cores with toilet facilities, external decked terrace areas, complete with new mechanical, electrical and public health systems throughout and new pavilion reception entrance area.  The project leans heavily on sustainability and environmental considerations with green roofs, PV energy, bird and insect habitats and full FSC certification.

SEC work package

Our package was predominantly centred around the internal fit-out works of the project and this very quickly expanded to include a sizable carpentry 1st fix/carcassing works associated with roof weathering and party-wall details.  The internal joinery works consisted of manufacture, supply and installation of internal joinery door sets, window boards, skirting and bespoke joinery such as oak feature stair cladding, pavilion, reception desk, glass back-painted decorative panels, feature mild steel black waxed panelling.  The supply and installation of 600sqm of composite external decking to terraces.
