Project overview

Built on the site of the former Moxon Street carpark, the development forms a modern centrepiece in one of London’s prime real estate locations, and also represents the first new mixed-use city block in the W1 postcode to be developed in the last fifty years.

This high-end nine-storey, 25,160m² building includes 54 private and 25 affordable apartments. The ground and lower ground floors provide retail, restaurant and community facilities including a community hall. The lowest basement level includes parking for residents, with another basement level providing a new public parking facility.

SEC work package

Our works consisted of an extensive package including the supply and fit of bespoke joinery items, first and second fix carpentry to private and affordable units as well as communal areas.

Across the residential areas we supplied and fitted a wide ranging package including solid oak veneered external grade front entrance doors, purposed for the communal areas which were designed to be exposed to outdoor elements. We undertook the installation of TerraSmart aluminium sub-frame with porcelain tiled decking to the balconies of all 79 apartments.

In each apartment we laid chevron and straight oak flooring, timber skirtings and window boards throughout. In addition, we have installed Selo pocket sliding doors which partition between rooms and can be locked to reconfigure the layout of the apartments. The private apartments include bathrooms with bespoke mirrored cabinets and high end fixtures and fittings. To the affordable units we provided full kitchen fit out including all appliances and bespoke timber wardrobes.

The main reception area features our chevron oak flooring, bespoke walnut veneer reception desk with stone cladding worktop and residential letter boxes finished in bespoke bronze. As for the artwork featured on the wall; we supplied the birch faced ply picture frames that showcased the detailed balcony design mouldings from the building. Our basement works are inclusive of bespoke measured storage units, statutory signage, car park protection bollards and metal barrier edge protections.
